Home Learning
As a school we have looked at how we can support parents who are having to home school children while on isolation/awaiting test results. This is the plan we have come up with:
EYFS
- Plans for the week will be added to Tapestry
Y1-6
- Homework is available on Tapestry for Years 2-6
- Links to White Rose Maths will be uploaded to Tapestry each week
- Reading can continue
- Daily practice and games on Spelling shed or Phonics Play
- Maths Shed games and lessons
- The Oak National Academy has daily work that can be accessed here: https://classroom.thenational.academy/schedule-by-year
- BBC Bitesize has some resources and online lessons that can be accessed here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zvqgsk7
- A general writing project linked to the topic will be added to Tapestry each week for those at home
In the event of a whole bubble isolating or a local/national lockdown:
- Links to White Rose Maths will be uploaded to Tapestry each week
- Reading can continue
- Daily practice and games on Spelling shed
- Maths Shed games and lessons
- Teams sessions will be organised to support parents/children. In the event that teachers have their own children at home it may be another teacher from the team on the call.
- A weekly upload of work to complete and pre-recorded videos will be completed and added to Tapestry
- Teachers will be available to comment on and answer question on Tapestry during the school day
